The Cleveland Browns ended their hunt for a new head coach, landing on Todd Monken. And he is wasting no time at all filling out his staff.
While the fate of coordinators Jim Schwartz and Bubba Ventrone hangs in the balance, Monken has hired an offensive line coach. Monken is bringing over former Baltimore Ravens offensive line coach George Warhop with him after spending the past two seasons together. Warhop, a well-traveled man, is making the Browns his 10th stop in his NFL coaching career, all as an offensive line coach.
Warhop broke into the league in 1996, named as the offensive line coach of the St. Louis Rams. He spent two seasons there before heading over to the Arizona Cardinals from 1998 to 2002. Warhop even spent a five-year tenure in Cleveland as the offensive line coach from 2009-2013. He now comes back to Cleveland over a decade later after stops in Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, Houston, and Baltimore in between.
The Browns have been seeking an answer at offensive line coach since the departure of Bill Callahan in 2024. Callahan, of course, rejoined former head coach Kevin Stefanski with the Atlanta Falcons. Can Warhop be that answer?
