Former Ohio State Buckeyes Caleb Downs and Carnell Tate believe a rematch with national champion Indiana would go differently.
Downs, a safety, had eight tackles in OSU's 13-10 loss to the Hoosiers on Dec. 6 in the Big Ten championship. Wide receiver Tate had four catches for 43 yards and a touchdown.
Both are preparing to enter the 2026 NFL Draft, and both spoke about the conference title game on the Jan. 28 episode of the "Downs 2 Business" podcast. Co-host and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs asked his brother Caleb Downs and Tate if Ohio State would win a second meeting against Indiana.
"Yes," Caleb Downs and Tate said in unison.
Josh Downs, who refuted his brother's claim about beating Indiana on a prior episode, did not outright agree.
"Maybe. ... Who knows, though?" he said.
While watching the national championship game between Indiana and Miami, Tate said he did not want Miami to win because of the Buckeyes' 24-14 loss in the Cotton Bowl to the Hurricanes.
"We lost to both of them, it ain't matter to me," Caleb Downs responded.
