The Los Angeles Rams 2025 season was a great one, which was cut short in the NFC Championship game by the Seattle Seahawks.
Their offense was incredible, as Matthew Stafford might win MVP. Defensively, while it was shaky at times, overall, it was a net positive for the Rams. But the special teams unit was a complete disaster, and it cost them their season.
Sean McVay and the Rams fired their previous special teams coordinator, and need to resolve this issue this offseason. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Rams might've found their savior in a Cleveland Browns coach who would be a great hire.
Rams could poach Browns ST coach for same role amid Cleveland coaching turmoil
"The Browns may now have to replace all three coordinators: The Rams put in a request to interview Bubba Ventrone for their special teams coordinator job, per sources," Pelissero reports.
The Rams' fixing their special teams' woes is a big issue this offseason. And this report suggests the Rams are beginning to make a push to find a new leader on the unit that cost them their season.
But, the Browns could deny the request, putting the Rams back to scquire one. However, Pelissero reports that, "Ventrone, who is regarded as one of the NFL's best, is not expected to stay on Toddy Monken's staff."
With new head coach Todd Monken not planning to keep Ventrone as the special teams coordinator, the Rams could massively benefit from this turnover.

According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), the Rams' special teams was 26th in the league while the Browns under Ventrone were ranked 2nd.
Special teams units can be hard to grade, but the Rams' struggles this past season, combined with the Browns unit being great, make for a clear match between Ventrone and the Rams.
McVay and the Rams might have found their savior in a Browns coach, and it might be thanks in large part to Monken's hiring that Ventrone might come to Los Angeles this offseason.
