Pape Gueye, the 27-year-old Senegalese midfielder, is on the verge of joining Galatasaray after giving his approval to the Turkish club's sporting project. Currently at Villarreal, the recent Africa Cup of Nations winner is said to have agreed to a contract running until 2030.
Negotiations between Galatasaray and Villarreal have made significant progress, especially regarding financial terms, according to journalist Nicolo Schira. Gueye has been identified by the coaching staff as a key player to strengthen the midfield and add solidity to the squad.
This season, he has played 22 matches, scored 2 goals, and provided 1 assist in 1,552 minutes of play. His market value is estimated at €20 million. The Senegalese international is expected to travel to Istanbul soon to finalize the transfer.
