FOXBOROUGH — Mike Vrabel has been to three Super Bowls as a player, but this is the first time the Patriots coach has to deal with organizing some of the logistics of the two-week lead-up before Super Bowl 60.
There’s a balance between getting the most out of the extra time, while not letting all of the extra responsibilities become a drain.
For that, he’s looked to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who has been to eight Super Bowls and won six for the Patriots.
“Coaches have been a good resource. Josh has been a good resource obviously,” Vrabel said. “He’s coached in these with the extended break.”
Vrabel said the Patriots’ primary goal this week was to let players get as healthy as possible.

Wednesday will feature lifting, some conditioning and “light football drills.”
They’ll practice Thursday and Friday, likely indoors. They’ll have a day off on Saturday. After a workout on Sunday, they’ll head to California. All travel is obviously dependent on weather.
“And then Monday will be like a bonus day, which we’ve used for coming off of a bye week to kind of do some drills and just some movement,” he said. “And then Tuesday off. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, just try to keep it like a normal week.”
Monday will be Super Bowl Media Night.
Vrabel said the game plan for the Seahawks will be installed over time.
That’s something that happens this week. That’s something that happens next week. There’s a lot of preparation," he said. “You want to try to avoid doing too much too early. And then also, how do you keep their attention next week, and focused and locked in? So, I think we have a good balance.”
