The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LX. They'll face the New England Patriots for the right to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. Seahawks general manager John Schneider achieved history by positioning his team in the Super Bowl.
Schneider is the first general manager in NFL history to make multiple Super Bowls with the same franchise while having a completely new roster and head coach, according to research provided by NFL Plus.

Schneider was named Seahawks general manager in 2010. He's celebrating more than 15 years with the franchise. Schneider was the architect of the Seahawks' 2013 season Super Bowl XLVIII triumph. That team was of course coached by Pete Carroll. Some of its star players were Marshawn Lynch, Russell Wilson, Russell Okung, and of course, the Legion Of Boom defense built by Schneider, including Earl Thomas, Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Bobby Wagner.
Now, Schneider advances to his third Super Bowl with a totally new roster and head coach. Just like Schneider built that team, he built this one. Hiring Mike Macdonald, signing Sam Darnold in free agency, adding veterans like DeMarcus Lawrence and Cooper Kupp, and executing a midseason trade for Rashid Shaheed, are some of the bolder moves that led to this achievement.
Schneider continues to defy the odds by being one of the best GMs in the NFL while transcending eras.
