West Ham now start talks to sign Chelsea player before end of January window

West Ham have apparently now started talks to sign a Chelsea player before the end of the January transfer window.

The window closes at the weekend, so there are only now a handful of days left for clubs to get their transfer business done for this winter at least, before having to wait it out until the end of the season to get anything else done.

Sources: Chelsea look to recall second centre back after Aaron Anselmino in transfer dominoes!

We were expecting to see a flurry of sales at Chelsea this window, not really from the first team. But we had been expecting to see movements for players such as Raheem Sterling, Axel Disasi, and Tyrique George at least. But as of right now, nothing is advanced for any of those players to leave the club.

So, a lot of work to get done if Chelsea want to move all three of these players out the door, and there has been an update of sorts on Disasi at least.

Disasi to West Ham?

According to L’Equipe in France, West Ham have entered into discussions with Chelsea for a loan until the end of the season for Axel Disasi, but the Hammers are not alone in their pursuit.

Chelsea’s international loan limit of seven is expected to once again influence the potential destination of Axel Disasi.

A dry loan wouldn’t be much good to Chelsea, they need to sell this guy as soon as possible.

In other news today

Aaron Anselmino has been recalled from Dortmund, with the German side not happy about the short notice with which the Blues did this. There’s some debate about whether this unhappiness is justified.

Anselmino was clearly pretty keen to stay with Dortmund – he was very tearful as he said goodbye to his manager and teammates today in a social clip released by the club.
