Is it mock draft season? Yes, it is, especially for the Arizona Cardinals.

And how do we know? Well, it is when the biggest names in mock drafts start publishing theirs. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah released his first mock draft of the year.

Naturally, the Las Vegas Raiders are projected to take Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza with the first overall pick. I don't think that will change over the next three months.

What about the Arizona Cardinals?

Who is the Cardinals' selection at No. 3 overall?

Jeremiah has the Cardinals going with a pretty safe pick — Utah tackle Spencer Fano.

The big question is who will be playing quarterback for the Cardinals in 2026, but there’s no clear QB answer for them at this point in the draft. They make a selection that will benefit whoever ends up under center. Fano has the versatility to play four different spots on the O-line (all but center) if needed.

The Cardinals are really only set at left tackle in 2026, assuming Paris Johnson recovers from his knee injury. Perhaps center is okay with Hjalte Froholdt, but that will depend on the new coaching staff, too.

Both guard spots and right tackle are big question marks. Landing Fano to anchor the right side with Johnson on the other side will be good for whoever is taking snaps in 2026.

Other possible players going soon after the third pick are Miami tackle Francis Mauigoa, Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey and LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane.

We are months away, but the Cardinals have so many needs that any premium position seems reasonable right now.
