The Spartans floor general has received a notable honor for his strong play this past week.

Michigan State starting point guard Jeremy Fears Jr. was named the Big Ten Player of the Week for his impressive performances in the Spartans' two wins last week. Fears' strong play were critical in the Spartans picking up blowout wins over Oregon and Maryland this past week, and extend Michigan State's winning streak to six games.

Against Oregon, Fears had 14 points and five assists, with a bulk of his offensive performance coming in the second half to help Michigan State pull away for the road win. Then on Saturday against Maryland, Fears dropped 17 points and dished out a career-high 17 assists to lead Michigan State to a 43-point victory over the Terps.

On the year, Fears is averaging 13.4 points and 8.9 assists per game. He is in the midst of an incredible season and cemented himself as one of the best point guards in the Big Ten, and maybe even the country.
