Manchester United stunned Premier League title-chasing Arsenal with a dramatic 3-2 victory at the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Carrick continues a dream start to his interim spell in charge of the Red Devils, having beaten Manchester City 2-0 last weekend.

Arsenal dominated the match for the first 25 minutes and then were ahead just before the half-hour mark through a Lisandro Martinez own goal.

Instead of pushing on, though, they became nervy and handed an equaliser on a plate to Bryan Mbeumo as Martin Zubimendi gave the ball away at the back before the break.

The Red Devils then went ahead on 50 minutes thanks to a stunning Patrick Dorgu strike as his volley thundered off the underside of the crossbar.

The Gunners pushed for an equaliser, without looking that threatening, but their corners eventually paid off as substitute Mikel Merino prodded home on 84 minutes.

The home side looked the more likely to push for a winner but Matheus Cunha burst forward and curled in a superb winner on 87 minutes.

Arsenal just couldn’t create much at all from open play to trouble United goalkeeper Senne Lammens, who was peppered with crosses but not much else.

It is Manchester United’s first Premier League win at the Emirates since December 2017.

The Red Devils climb into fourth in the Premier League table with the victory, ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta’s men remain top, but their lead has been cut to four points over the weekend, with Manchester City and Aston Villa both winning.
