Thousands in Bengal receive SIR notices over ‘unusually high number’ of children linked to electors

West Bengal Congress president Subhankar Sarkar flags ‘arbitrary’ threshold setting by the Election Commission and points out that the number of electors with six or more electors linked to them as children stood at 2,06,056, whereas, if the threshold is raised to 10, the number was only 8,682
