New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India on Friday said it has begun exporting its mid-size sports utility vehicle Victoris to overseas markets, with the first batch of over 450 units shipped out from Mundra and Pipavav ports. The company said the SUV will be sold globally under the name ‘Across’ and will be available in about 100 countries and regions, including Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.The automaker's shares closed at Rs 15856.55 apiece on the BSE, down 1.78% on Friday.Maruti Suzuki introduced the Victoris in the domestic market in September last year and is now expanding its presence in global markets through exports of the model. Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi said the company’s export push is aligned with the Make in India, Make for the World vision. “In the calendar year 2025, with exports of over 3.9 lakh vehicles, we emerged as India’s number one passenger vehicle exporter for the fifth year in a row. The year also marked our re-entry into Europe with the start of exports of our first Battery Electric Vehicle, e VITARA,” Takeuchi said. He added that Maruti Suzuki’s export growth has outpaced the industry over the past five years. “If we look at growth of India’s passenger vehicle exports in the past five years from CY2020 to CY2025, while the rest of the industry grew 1.43 times, Maruti Suzuki exports grew 4.67 times. The addition of VICTORIS will further support our export ambitions, and we are hopeful it will be well received in international markets,” Takeuchi said.The mid-size SUV n India is priced at Rs 10,49, 900 (ex-showroom) and i s available on all Maruti Suzuki Arena showrooms with an extensive range of 21 variants and a choice of 10 colour options (3 dual tone and 7 monotone colours). Maruti is offering Victoris in a total of six variants: LXI, VXI, ZXI, ZXI(O), ZXI+, and ZXI+(O).
