Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, at Al Barakah Palace on Wednesday.
The visit marks a significant step in strengthening the diplomatic and economic ties between Oman and Italy. During their meeting, the Italian Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings from President Sergio Mattarella, expressing wishes for His Majesty’s continued health and the ongoing prosperity of the Omani people.
His Majesty and the Prime Minister held a detailed session of talks focusing on expanding cooperation in key strategic sectors. Discussions specifically addressed investment opportunities in industry, renewable energy, modern technology, and food security, alongside initiatives in tourism and education. Both leaders also exchanged views on pressing regional and international developments, reaffirming their commitment to a partnership that serves the mutual interests of both nations.
