Adam Peaty’s family have reportedly ‘given up’ on any hopes of a reconciliation with their son.
The Olympian, 30, married Holly, 25 – the daughter of Gordon Ramsay – in a ceremony at Bath Abbey at the very end of 2025, but events were marred by an almighty family fallout, which saw the swimmer’s mother Caroline and father Mark reportedly banned from attending the nuptials.
In the end, their wedding – for which the pair posed happily with Ramsay family friends the Beckhams – was thought to be only attended by Adam’s sister from his side of the family.
After the drama of the nuptials, it has now claimed that there’s no olive branch in sight, with Adam’s family fearing he’s ‘made his choice’ in the feud.
A source told The Sun: ‘It’s been a really emotional time for them as a family.
‘They’re coming to terms with what has happened and that Adam has picked his side. It’s dashed any hope of reconciliation in the near future.’
They added: ‘They’re keeping their heads down and trying to move on quietly. It’s clear Adam’s made his choice.’
While Adam’s family would inevitably see the big Vogue spread of the pair’s wedding day, it was also reported salt was further rubbed in the wound after they were sent an email of a wedding day picture directly.
A source told the Daily Mail: ‘When the picture pinged into a close family member’s inbox we were honestly shocked. Why would someone send us a photo from a wedding we were all banned from apart from Adam’s sister.
‘We’re not sure if it was sent in error or maliciously to make us suffer even more. It has caused us unnecessary anguish and distress and we can’t show it to Adam’s mum Caroline. She wouldn’t take kindly to it.’
The source added: ‘It shows the bride and groom with just her parents and their best friends and with the Beckhams posing where Caroline and Mark [Peaty’s parents] should be!’
How did Adam Peaty’s family feud start?
A feud erupted after Holly hosted her hen do at Soho Farmhouse earlier this year – which was attended by Victoria Beckham, her own mum Tana, and Adam’s sister. However notably absent was his mum Caroline, with other family members later taking aim at the couple.
The sportsman’s aunt Louise weighed in, saying her sister is ‘not ok’ and has been ‘broken’ by her son and his fiancée.
She claimed that Adam is ‘ashamed’ of his brothers, with the family also going so far as to call him a ‘narcissist’ who has been ‘changed’ by money and has ‘forgotten where he came from’.
‘We were sent a save the date and it’s all these country houses,’ a family member told The Sun.
‘I’m on Universal Credit — I can’t afford that.
‘Adam has been changed by money, fame and fortune. He seems to have forgotten where he came from.’

Speaking about what’s unfolded with Adam and his mum, they added: ‘We think he has treated Caroline appallingly. You can hear it in her voice. She’s heartbroken.’
Another source told the publication that while his family were originally supportive of his engagement to Holly, they feel ‘they have been pushed further and further from Adam over the past year’.
The issue apparently stems from Holly not inviting Adam’s mum Caroline, who supported him in securing three Olympic gold medals, to her hen do party.
Adam’s brother James was later reportedly arrested upon Adam’s return from his Budapest stag do.
A police statement confirmed a 34-year-old man was ‘arrested on suspicion of harassment. The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.’
Adam later shared a statement responding to tension within his family, which read: ‘Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself.
‘My sister Bethany, has also been targeted. This has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive. What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.’
The swimmer added that whilst he cannot provide full details due to an active police inquiry into ‘serious matters that arose long before recent events’, he remains committed to self-improvement.
‘For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.’
