Trump Touts 'Economic Boom' as Consumer Prices Rise Sharply

Nearly a full year into his second term, President Donald Trump declared a victory when it comes to the U.S. economy saying “the Trump economic boom has officially begun.” It comes as new government data shows inflation rose 2.7% in December compared to a year prior and grocery prices are up 2.4%.
