Actor Chris Noth has taken aim at his old Sex and the City co-star Sarah Jessica Parker on social media.
The 71 year-old-actor shared a photo on Instagram of himself working out in the gym along with the caption ‘F&@k new years – LETS GO!!!!’
In a comment underneath the post, referencing Parker’s recent win at the Golden Globes, however, one of Noth’s fans wrote ‘You mean f*** SJP & her award right? Lol.’
Noth responded to this with a simple ‘Right.’
Unsurprisingly, this soon went viral with some fans asking him to ‘spill the tea’ while others defended Parker.
Metro has reached out to Noth and Parker for comment.
Noth played Carrie Bradshaw’s long term love-interest (and later husband) Big across the TV show’s six-season run and the two spin-off movies.
He would later reprise the role of Big in the first episode of And Just Like That and was killed off at the end of the first episode.
In December 2021, Noth was accused of sexual assault by two women.
Following the initial allegations, two more women came forward claiming they’d also been assaulted by the actor.
Noth denies all the claims against him, and in a statement said that the ‘encounters were consensual’.
‘The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,’ he told The Independent.
‘These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago – no always means no – that is a line I did not cross.
‘The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.’
Following the accusations against Noth, plans for Big to appear in the And Just Like That finale were dropped.
After the first episode was broadcast, Parker and the rest of the cast also released a statement on Instagram in support of the women and their claims against Noth.
‘We are deeply saddened to hear the allegations against Chris Noth,’ it read. read.
‘We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do, and we commend them for it.’
In May 2022, Parker told The Hollywood Reporter that she hadn’t spoken to Noth since the accusations against him were made and was lost for words when questioned about his alleged sexual misconduct.
‘I don’t even know if I’m ready to talk about it, when asked about her former co-star.’But I don’t think … I wasn’t reacting as a producer. I should have worked on this because I’m just … it’s just …’
And Just Like That wasn’t the only show to cut Noth from the cast. He was written out of The Equalizer season two, and his character, William Bishop, was killed off.
Meanwhile, his recurring Doctor Who character, Jack Robertson, was quietly dropped.
