Teen charged over fatal bus stop stabbing in Sydney

A teenager has been charged over a fatal stabbing at a bus interchange in Sydney's west last year.

Just after 10pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, emergency services were called to the interchange on North Parade in Mount Druitt.

They found two men, both aged 19, who had suffered stab wounds.

One man had been stabbed in his chest and could not be revived.

He has since been identified as Zac McRae.

The other man had been stabbed in the arm and was taken to hospital in a stable condition. He has since been released.

Following inquiries, a 19-year-old woman was arrested in December in connection with the stabbing, and she remains before the courts.

More recently, at about 10.20am on January 7, police arrested a 19-year-old man in Silverwater.

He was charged with multiple offences, including murder and wounding with intent to murder.

He was refused bail and will appeal in court today.

Police have also released CCTV of three men they believe can assist the investigation.

The trio, believed to be aged in their 20s, are seen walking along a street in Mount Druitt.

They wear black hoodies and track pants. Two wear black shoes and one wears white shoes.
