The Dubai Business Associates (DBA) programme offers a fully funded nine-month opportunity for graduates to gain professional experience and study in Dubai. Run under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the programme aims to develop future global leaders by combining learning, work experience, and cultural exposure. How the programme works DBA is introduced to bridge the gap between higher education and professional life. Associates take part in academic modules, work placements, and strategy consulting projects. The programme follows a project-based approach, allowing participants to apply classroom knowledge in real-world business situations. Graduates also develop hard business skills such as finance, accounting, marketing, strategy, and business planning. In addition, the programme emphasizes soft skills including leadership, communication, teamwork, negotiation, and problem-solving. Participants attend masterclasses with industry leaders and CEOs, receive career and life coaching, and take part in cultural events and excursions. Cultural and professional exposure Living and working with peers from diverse backgrounds, associates gain practical insights into different cultures and the Dubai business environment. The programme positions participants as cultural ambassadors who can speak from experience about Dubai and the UAE. Who runs the programme The DBA programme is managed by Falcon and Associates, a company established in 2009 by Ruler’s Decree to promote Dubai globally. Rami Tawfiq, Director of the DBA programme, brings over 15 years of experience in business development and government relations, while Raikhan Agumarova, Programme Manager, has worked with organisations including WHO and Chevron and brings international education and consulting experience. Overall, the DBA programme combines learning, work, and cultural exposure to equip graduates with the skills, experience, and global outlook needed for leadership roles in an international business environment.
