If you’ve already devoured all six episodes of the highly anticipated hit, Heated Rivalry, then we’ve got your next watch covered.
The steamy ice hockey rivals-to-lovers romance has everyone hooked after taking the USA and Canada by storm and skyrocketing the lead actors into mega-stardom overnight.
For those who have somehow managed to avoid all the hubbub, the series follows competing hockey prodigies – Canada’s Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Russia’s Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) – who strike up an illicit affair that grows into something much deeper over the course of a decade.
After an agonising wait, the widely-praised six-episode adaptation of Rachel Reid’s novel finally landed in the UK, and we have no doubt it has been binge-watched by countless people.
Although the beloved TV sensation has already been renewed for a second season, fans will have a while to wait yet before they can dig into any new episodes.
So, if you are looking for shows that evoke the same amount of yearning and obsession in you, then you’ve come to the right place.

Set against the backdrop of some of the biggest socio-political events of the second half of the 21st century, from the Vietnam War to the AIDS crisis, there is a moving and profound love story at the beating heart of this tale.
Fellow Travelers is available to stream on Paramout Plus. You can also buy and rent on Amazon Prime Video or Apple TV.
A League of Their Own
Joyous LGBTQ+ stories in the sporting world are not only reserved for the men.
Amazon Prime Video’s A League of Their Own is a layered, heartfelt and endearing portrayal of an all-women’s baseball team in the 1940s, in this radical reimagining of the 1992 movie.
Starring Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) and D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place), this show has a stunning ensemble cast, effortlessly weaving in several queer characters as well as exploring race and women’s rights.
Although the team faces hardship, what is particularly striking about this show is the note of optimism and unapologetic acceptance throughout, which parallels so wonderfully with the themes people love in Heated Rivalry. And, of course, it has the sporty setting we’re all craving.
Although the show did sadly get cancelled, the first season has a lot to love about it.
A League of Their Own is streaming on Amazon Prime Video now.
Young Royals
Much like Heated Rivalry, Netflix series Young Royals was an overnight sensation and quickly built a mass following hooked to the love story between the Swedish Prince Wilhelm (Edvin Ryding) and scholarship student Simon (Omar Rudberg).
This coming-of-age story involves a sex scandal, found family and a forbidden love story where our two protagonists must fight to choose themselves.
Across three seasons, we watch Simon and Wilhelm’s story unfold as they attempt to overhaul the system and prove love does conquer all. Sound familiar?
Young Royals is streaming on Netflix now.
Glow
This comedy-drama starring Alison Brie follows the wild and wonderful world of women’s wrestling in the 80s in LA.
From the team behind Orange is the New Black, this three-season show (which also got cancelled, much to the dismay of fans) centres around a ‘crew of misfits who reinvent themselves as the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling’.
The show tackles stereotypes, female empowerment, love stories of all shapes and sizes and the revolutionary power of unexpected friendship.
Not only do we get the nail-biting sporting dynamics inside the rink, but we also get the powerful personal storylines, which really make this show sing.
Glow is streaming on Netflix now.
Interview with the Vampire
Last but not least, AMC’s Interview with the Vampire, based on Anne Rice’s novel, is sexy, dramatic and jam-packed with magnetic chemistry between our two leads.
This tale of ‘seduction, blood and immortality’ follows vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), who reveals his long, long (after)life story which stems back to the vampire who changed his life for good – Lestat (Sam Reid).
Buckle in for intense declarations of love, shocking confessions and steamy scenes that all add colour to this complicated love story that will leave you wanting more.
Interview with the Vampire is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Heated Rivalry is available to stream on Sky and NOW.
