Muscat – Marking the 6th anniversary of his accession, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued Royal directives to enhance national welfare.
His Majesty the Sultan allocated an additional RO 50 mn to provincial development, increasing the 11th Five-Year Plan’s budget to RO 270 mn to boost investment and employment. Social measures include doubling childhood benefits for 73,000 students and allocating RO 100 mn for social housing during 2026–2027. Furthermore, His Majesty ordered the acceleration of the 2026 employment programme to provide 60,000 jobs and extended the job security allowance to one year.
