At least six killed after gunman opens fire on ‘multiple innocent people’ in Mississippi

At least six people have been killed after a shooting in Mississippi last night.

‘Multiple innocent lives’ have been lost after an attack in West Point, near the Alabama border, according to Clay County sheriff Eddie Scott.

The six people shot were killed in three separate locations.

A suspect has been taken into custody and there is no further threat, the sheriff wrote on Facebook.

He added: ‘I ask that you lift our victims and their families in your prayers Law Enforcement is busy investigating and will release an update as soon as possible.’
