EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s (January 8) episode which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) got the shock of his life when he saw dead dad Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) standing before him in the Arches.
The former restaurateur was experiencing hallucinations after being spiked by Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), who concocted the revenge plot with son Harry (Elijah Holloway).
Ravi, as viewers will recall, was instrumental in what Harry went through last year when the mechanic was forced to sell drugs.
His best mate Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) was subsequently involved, with Ravi installing Okie (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) into their flat to handle the day-do-day dealing.
The situation escalated when, against Ravi’s orders, Okie decided to keep Harry prisoner for weeks, getting him hooked on drugs.
Harry later secured his freedom but with dad Teddy (Roland Manookian) having taken the fall for Okie’s death to protect his son, Harry’s world has fallen apart.
Upon his return from rehab, he struggled to see Ravi living his life in the Square, believing that he got away with what he did. Ravi was initially arrested but, unbeknown to Harry, he secured his freedom by agreeing to inform on his bosses.
After confiding in Nicola about how much he was struggling with Ravi living opposite them, Harry sought revenge with his mum’s help as she spiked the villain at the club.
Ravi stumbled out of Harry’s Barn and into the street, where Harry led him to the Arches, locking him inside in the pit. As the drugs took hold, Ravi experienced terrifying hallucinations in the form of Nish.
Nish, as fans know, fell to his death last January after trying to sabotage ex-wife Suki’s (Balvinder Sopal) wedding to longtime love Eve Unwin (Heather Peace). Ravi was instrumental in his dad’s demise while trying to rescue Suki.
After exiting the garage, a terrified Ravi walked the streets as the apparition of Nish taunted him, which led to the younger man lashing out, with horrifying consequences.
