Corriedale was explosive, wasn’t it? And I’m not just talking about the big balls of fire and blown-up vehicles.

Jaws dropped when viewers heard the sinister, gravelly tones of Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) after five long years of presuming he was dead.

Transporting a bound and gagged woman in a van, Graham ‘terminated’ his mission upon clapping eyes on the man he’s always considered a son, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).

‘A familiar face is returning to the village full-time! None other than Graham Foster will make a sensational comeback,’ Emmerdale’s producer, Laura Shaw, enthused.

‘His return will have massive repercussions for both Kim Tate (Claire King), with whom he shares a complex love and hate relationship, and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), who was about to run away with him.

‘Graham will explain exactly what happened six years ago when he was ‘killed’, but the question will be whether Joe can ever forgive his father-figure for allowing him to believe he was dead’.

Graham was the subject of his own ‘whodunnit’ when he finally met his maker, with villagers aplenty wanting to see him dead. In particular, Kim, Charity, Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingdale) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) were named as the main suspects.

As it turned out, though, a final showdown between him and Pierce Harris (Jonathan Wrather) ended with Graham being pushed off a cliff and bashed in the skull with a torch.

With a deep and dark history with Kim and a lover he was torn away from in Rhona both in the village, what chaos will come from Graham’s resurrection?

What else is coming up in Emmerdale?

Fans across the nation cheered as Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) finally, finally got her comeuppance after months of scheming, hired attacks, arson, kidnap, and, according to Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), a bad coat, when ex-wife Lisa (Vicky Myers) brought us all a big, fat dollop of catharsis and slapped those cuffs on her.

Elsewhere, Theo Silverton (James Cartwright), crossed the line from monstrous abuser into murderer. Stumbling onto the flaming, upturned bus, seemingly to save Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), the kind-hearted vicar gasped that there truly was some good in Theo.

Not quite enough, as it turns out, as Theo re-attached Billy’s seatbelt, trapping him in the bus before staggering out and watching it explode, killing him instantly.

All of that, though, will be explored on Coronation Street. Meanwhile, Laura continued to spill the tea on what Emmerdale fans can look forward to in the fallout from the crossover episode.

Elsewhere, fans were devastated to learn that something potentially sinister had been found on Yorkshire’s undisputed favourite bad boy, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), during treatment for his gunshot wound

Just after he and wife Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) decided to treat themselves to a holiday, they were struck by the terrifying news.

‘The Dingle family are set to face huge repercussions, and Cain is at the centre of a major prostate cancer storyline spanning across 2026,’ Laura revealed.

‘Adding to their devastation, Moira will be arrested for human trafficking, with her arrest timed to coincide with her husband’s diagnosis. Their complex marriage will be tested as they face dark times.’

Up Next

John Sugden’s (Oliver Farnworth) reign of terror finally came to an end, and the one to end that reign was his own sister, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins). Though Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) will do everything to protect his little sister, he’ll face opposition: ‘The truth about John’s death will be revealed, as Victoria’s clever deception, making John’s death look like suicide, will unravel.

‘Evil Joe Tate knows the truth and has damning video evidence which he plans to use to get what he wants from the Sugdens, potentially taking control of Butler’s Farm. Robert is also in the thick of it, trying to save Victoria by planting evidence.’

Also upcoming is a classic soap ‘whodunnit’, following the death of Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).

‘Following the discovery of Ray’s body, villagers’ secrets will come out as the mystery surrounding Ray’s death is finally solved.

‘Before the end of January, a special week will flash back to the night of the murder, revealing which of the multiple suspects is responsible for Ray’s demise.’

Tied up in the Ray mess is, of course, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), whose dad, Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) was groomed and inducted into Ray’s human slavery racket.
