Muscat – His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Supreme Commander, has conferred medals of Royal Commendation, Service Excellence and Proficiency on a number of senior officers of Royal Oman Police (ROP) and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) in recognition of their dedicated service to the nation.
On behalf of His Majesty, Sheikh Abdulmalik Abdullah al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, presented the medals during a ceremony held on Monday at the Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences in Nizwa. Khalili congratulated the recipients, praising their continued efforts in advancing national security and public service under the wise leadership of His Majesty.
Khalili, who was the chief guest at the ROP Day celebrations, also presented certificates of appreciation to several senior officers of the ROP and CDAA in recognition of long service and distinguished contributions.

Meanwhile, His Majesty the Sultan received a cable of greetings from Lt Gen Hassan Mohsin al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, on the occasion of ROP Day, observed annually on January 5.
In his message, Lt Gen Shuraiqi congratulated and conveyed his best wishes to His Majesty, alongside appreciation for the gracious care and continuous support accorded by His Majesty to ROP and its personnel. He affirmed that ROP, across all its formations, remains committed to carrying out its national duties with dedication and professionalism, keeping pace with development and modernisation programmes to reinforce security, public order and safety for citizens and residents.
