A Geordie construction worker who went viral as the ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ has boasted of becoming a millionaire off the back of his sudden rise to fame.

Jack Kay, 26, became an unlikely internet icon after being filmed dancing at a club sporting an immaculate bowl cut, oversized shades and heavy gold chain.

His title, referencing powerful video game enemies, caught on as social media users marveled at his unique brand combining a distinctive appearance with the stereotypical features of a British visitor to the Balearic island.

Jack had already flown home when his internet fame peaked, but was soon flooded with messages from top figures in Ibiza’s party scene.

They included Wayne Lineker, who invited him back to his O Beach Club, the venue where the clip was filmed.

Jack initially rode high on the freebies – getting flown out via private jet with a group of friends – but soon started earning huge sums for paid appearances at clubs and venues in Ibiza and around the UK.

Earlier this year, he revealed he had earned £800,000 in the first six weeks after the clip went viral, when he was seen on stages including Creamfields festival in Cheshire.

Since then he has netted another £200,000 from various appearances and promotional deals, according to a report in The Sun.

They include plugging goods and services on Instagram, for which he reportedly earns some £2,000 per post.

He also launched a line of ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ merchandise with fashion chain Boohoo Man in a deal reportedly worth five figures.

The exact numbers for his club appearances are unknown but brand experts say influencers can make up to £10,000 per show.

Jack has been seen enjoying the fruits of his stardom, including sightings in a £55,000 Range Rover SVR with the personalized number plate ‘BOSS BZA’.

But the father-of-one has said the biggest perk is being able to provide a more comfortable life for his family.

‘I’m trying to keep myself on a level head with it because I’ve got a little daughter back home’, he told Channel 4 for a documentary on his rise to fame broadcast in September.

‘I had nothing growing up so to give her the life when she’s older, she can have anything she wants, is just unbelievable.’

Jack managed to cash in despite failing to trademark the term ‘Ibiza Final Boss’.

An unknown individual beat him to it in the first few days of his viral fame.

But he has recently filed a request to trademark the slogan ‘Be Your Own’ for the purposes of business relating to ‘presentation of music concerts; music festival services’.

It’s not clear what the 26-year-old has planned, with the slogan so far only appearing on the listing for a since-cancelled December event at Newcastle’s Digital club at which Jack was billed to DJ.
