MHT announces Lifeguard programme for citizens

Muscat – Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MHT), in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, has announced the availability of 14 training opportunities for citizens leading to direct employment in the tourism sector. The initiative focuses on the “Lifeguard” programme, designed to prepare national cadres for roles across various tourist facilities supervised by the Ministry. This move is part of a broader national strategy to empower local talent and enhance the presence of Omani professionals within the hospitality and tourism industries.

Prospective candidates are required to register via the provided QR code before the application deadline on January 6, 2026. The Ministry has encouraged interested individuals to utilise the contact lines 22088599 or 22088394 for any further enquiries regarding the programme. By bridging the gap between training and active employment, the authorities aim to ensure a high standard of safety and service quality across the Sultanate’s tourism infrastructure.
