Nigerian rapper, FalzTheBahdGuy and French-Senegalese actress Liliane Maroune have been unveiled as hosts of the 9th All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), happening from January 7 to 11, 2026, in Lagos. Falz becomes the second Nigerian to host AFRIMA, joining 2Baba’s 2014 debut .
Falz is known for his impactful music and acting career, while Liliane brings elegance and global appeal as an actress, model, and TV host. Together, they’ll showcase African music and culture’s strength and richness.
Nde Ndifonka, AFRIMA Regional Director, praises their African voice and international influence, saying they’re perfect to represent AFRIMA’s vision. “FalzTheBahdGuy brings intelligence, strong ideas, and a powerful African voice that connects with both young and old audiences. Liliane embodies elegance, diversity, and the contemporary African woman with international influence. They both understand Africa, speak for Africa, and live the African experience in their own ways,” she said.
The awards show comes up on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the Eko hotels and Suites, Victoria island, Lagos.
