JoJo Siwa has marked a new year with a new name, and TikTok users were quick to speculate why.
The Karma singer, 22, has changed her name to Joelle Siwa on her TikTok page, after previously having it set to her stage name.
Fans of the Dance Moms star pointed out that it could have something to do with her boyfriend, Love Island’s Chris Hughes, who has previously taken to calling JoJo by her full name on social media.
In her final post of 2025 on the social media platform, JoJo teased her future plans while lip-syncing to her hit 2016 song Boomerang.
‘Any plans for 2026? Me,’ she wrote over the footage, while the caption reads: ‘What a year it is ahead ✨🤍.’
In the comments, many wished her a happy New Year while also pointing out her fresh name change.
‘Joelle suits you so much more. Such an iconic, unique name,’ Little Legend wrote.
Karey said that changing her name for 2026 was ‘the biggest pull ever’, while Max simply commented ‘good for you!’ addressing her rebrand.
Many asked ‘who the hell is Joelle?’, with others quick to point out that the name change isn’t exactly new, with Joelle being her birth name.
‘Her real name is Joelle, JoJo was just a nickname. Are y’all new here?’ Sydney explained.
It might not be the only huge change in JoJo’s life in 2026 after she and Chris, 33, discussed possible wedding bells in the future.
The couple met on last year’s series of Celebrity Big Brother, striking up a strong friendship on our screens before later confirming their romantic relationship.
They have kept fans updated every step of the way, sharing adorable snaps of the two of them together on their social media pages as well as being open about their budding romance in interviews.
During an interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, the couple spoke about their future marriage plans.
‘You always get people who get engaged [at] Christmas. You see it on Instagram, every year you’re gonna see somebody who gets engaged. I kinda like the idea of it not being at a time where it could be expected,’ Chris said/
‘I’ve [spoken] to people about this before you, obviously. And I actually said, “I think if I was proposed to, that would make me really uncomfortable,”‘ he noted.
JoJo went on to say that if Chris didn’t ask her to marry him within seven years, there would be consequences.
‘It shouldn’t take you seven years to work out if you want to marry someone,’ Chris continued. ‘So you can go off that and then that won’t ever happen.’
