Emmerdale’s Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) storyline is rapidly coming to a close, but not before she causes more chaos and destruction of innocent lives from beyond the grave.
Celia has been an absolute menace in the Dales, doing Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) over with the fake turkey business, terrorising April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) by trying to force the teen into sex work alongside drug dealing while having her believe she murdered a man. And, most notably, ordering Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) to murder Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) with his car. Thankfully, bumbling Ray didn’t quite pull the last one off.
But Dylan’s injuries were a reminder for April what disloyalty costs. Ray tricked the family into paying him 20 grand, believing they were buying their freedom when in reality they were just feeding Ray’s operation.
Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) became so terrified of Ray and Celia’s actions against her family that she destroyed her relationship with her mum in a bid to protect her and plotted to run away with the rest of her family.
But cracks have been showing in Ray and Celia’s operation for a while, and it was only a matter of time before their drugs, money laundering, and modern slavery outfit came crumbling down.
With Ray having also let April live after being instructed to kill her – seriously, he’s not very good at this – and sent her off with a wad of cash and the threat of her family’s safety in her ear, it is no wonder that she has yet to come home in upcoming scenes.
With April missing, the worst is feared as dangerous secrets start swirling. Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), Ray’s on-off girlfriend, is hiding something, and is almost caught as she rushes to shove something out of sight. With guilt written all over her face, has she been pulled into Ray’s operation?
Rhona is guarding her own secret, making a surreptitious call that she’s keeping from husband Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock). But Marlon is tied up in his own shifty behaviour, sending off a text that Rhona is in the dark about. The fear for missing April is palpable, but both are guilty about something.
Ross Barton (Mike Parr) knows where April is, pulling up in his car with April looking worse for wear. She returns home to a rapturous welcome. The relief is short lived as April reveals more about what’s happened to her and demands that the family tell the police. Rhona begins to worry what this will mean for their safety regarding Ray and Celia.
But then they find out new news and the biggest secret of all – that Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) has been held captive by Celia all this time.
This solidifies just how cold, calculating, and ruthless Celia was, and drops fresh fear on the family. But April is insistent they must go to the police.

The final piece is to clue in Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) on where his dad has been all this time. He’s speechless and guilty at the revelation, but assures April and Dylan it’s not their fault. News of Celia’s illegal business hits the village as Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) announces the discovery to the entire pub.
With this being part of the big Corriedale week, it’s set to be massive, and we’ve been promised murderous intent, and death. A body is found in a van and something tells us this could well have something to do with Celia. Oh and Bear is missing – what has Celia done?
Even from beyond the grave, the choices she made in life continue to cause destruction…
