Dozens killed, 100 injured in fire at Swiss ski resort bar at New Year’s party

Several dozen people are feared dead and about 100 injured after a fire tore through a crowded bar during New Year’s celebrations in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana on January 1, 2026. Swiss police said the death toll was still being assessed. An investigation is under way.
