Zohran Mamdani will be sworn in as New York City's new mayor on New Year's Day with two ceremonies. The first, a private family oath at the historic City Hall subway station, will be administered by Attorney General Letitia James. A public celebration with a second oath on the steps of City Hall, led by Senator Bernie Sanders, will follow.
