Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) has spent the entirety of her time in EastEnders shrouded in mystery, with her true identity as Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) and Anthony Trueman’s (Nicholas Bailey) daughter only being revealed recently…

…as was her alliance with ‘Enders supervillain, Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), who she’d teamed up with to torture Zoe. However, Chrissie’s true, terrifying colours emerged after both Zoe and Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) revealed the actual extent of her evil and Jasmine told her their relationship was over.

Chrissie warned Jasmine that if there were any repercussions from their stalking, she’d come for her. Practically abandoned once again, Jasmine tore away, throwing a shoulder-barge in for good measure.

It was the latest in a long line of let-downs for the troubled youngster, who still bore deep scars from being left in the hospital after birth, with Zoe believing that she’d died. Her relationship with her adoptive mum had also collapsed, ending up with her being kicked out and, following the clash with Chrissie, Jasmine found herself zero for three as far as parental figures go…

…four if we’re counting Anthony, who was lying upstairs, dead, throughout the entire Christmas Day ordeal.

Jasmine found a home among the Slaters after Zoe was locked up for Anthony’s death, with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) swearing to protect her from any retribution from Chrissie, who’d previously become a suspect in the case when it became apparent that a second blow to the head had killed Anthony and, as viewers know, Zoe was unconscious after the first.

Zoe, however, in an effort to protect her daughter, left Chrissie out of her statement and was charged with Anthony’s murder. Clashing with a deeply troubled Kat, Jasmine scarpered and sought solace from on-and-off boyfriend, Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier), who she finally opened up to.

Oscar reeled and struggled to digest the information. He’s been used to Jasmine keeping him on his toes, but the truth behind her entire presence in Walford floors him, though she does confirm that he was never a part of some evil scheme – she genuinely fell for him. Oscar admitted that he’s struggling to process everything he’s been told, but recommended she pay a visit to her grandad, Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker), who’s struggling in the aftermath of losing his son.

Bringing a bunch of flowers, Jasmine found Patrick in a sorry emotional state, raw and half-cut, before she confirmed that she was his granddaughter. Patrick was disbelieving, thinking it was a trick cooked up by the Slaters. As he crumbled under the weight of yet another bombshell, he retired to his bedroom.

Kind Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) comforted Jasmine, reminding her that Patrick is grieving and that he needs time but she bolted, rejected yet again.

Alone in the café, Jasmine found herself vulnerable to an attack from Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), furious from her confrontation with Max Branning (Jake Wood), while Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) slyly text Kat to alert her to Jasmine’s location.

As Cindy tore into Jasmine, Kat arrived, flanked by Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and shut Cindy down, informing everyone that Jasmine is her granddaughter, and anybody harbouring an issue with her will have the entire Slater clan to contend with. As Tommy joined his parents in surrounding Jasmine, Cindy shrunk back.

Despite a further rejection from Patrick, it seems that Jasmine is a solidified part of the Slater family, though as they all struggle to maintain a united front in the aftermath of a blood-soaked Christmas, will that remain the case? Or will Jasmine find herself pushed out in the cold again?
