At least 13 people were killed after an Interoceanic train derailed in Mexico’s southern State of Oaxaca on Sunday, December 28, 2025, authorities said. The train was carrying 250 people; 98 were injured, with 36 receiving medical treatment, while 193 were reported to be out of danger. President Claudia Sheinbaum said five of the injured were in critical condition.
