Muscat – Civil Aviation Authority has issued a weather alert, forecasting a significant increase in northwesterly wind activity starting from Tuesday and lasting through Thursday, Janurary 1, 2026.
This weather pattern is expected to affect the majority of the nation’s governorates, bringing a notable decline in temperatures across the region. Maritime conditions will see a marked deterioration, with wave heights along the Omani coastline predicted to reach a maximum of 3 m. Furthermore, the authorities have warned of blowing dust and sand in open and desert areas, which may lead to a substantial reduction in horizontal visibility.
