When Stourwick patriarch Henry Shirewell pops his clogs, his eldest son, ceramicist Lucian, announces to his siblings that he plans to transform the family pile into a – shock, horror! – residential artists’ community. That means kicking everybody out for good. But when a letter is discovered that casts suspicion on his actions, DCI Barnaby and DS Jamie Winter are called in to solve a potential murder.
