What’s that? You haven’t had your Christmas present from Metro Soaps yet? Well, you’re in luck, because we have a whopping five Coronation Street spoiler videos just for you!

As we get set to ring in the New Year next week, the drama on the cobbles continues to hot up.

From Becky Swain’s (Amy Cudden) sinister plot against Carla Connor (Alison King) to the aftermath of Abi Webster’s (Sally Carman) heartbreaking discovery, there is plenty to sink our teeth into.

And that’s without mentioning the fact that Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) and Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) are set to finally walk down the aisle!

With Corriedale, the highly anticipated crossover with fellow ITV soap Emmerdale, just around the corner, it is safe to say that next week’s episodes go a long way in setting the groundwork for some explosive telly.

But enough chatting, it’s time to open our presents!

A lot of us will likely have considered hiding in a cupboard for just a moment of peace and quiet over the festive period, but it’s significantly less relaxing when you’ve been bound and gagged for over a week and are being deprived of life-saving medication.

So, as we leave our comfy closets and bring an end to our designated non-verbal time, we must spare a thought for Carla Connor, who is still locked in Becky’s airing cupboard against her will come Monday.

Becky appears to be growing more unhinged by the day, and Carla is more desperate than ever to escape back to the love-of-her-life Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers).

With tensions this high, will Carla make it out alive?

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, as Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) looks set to find out.

Abi is still reeling in the wake of her discovery on Tuesday, but, having heard all about Carl’s infidelity, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) decides that Abi is nowhere near angry enough.

Tracy is of the opinion that Abi should dial her rage up to ten and rain hell on cheating Carl. A likely thing for Tracy to think.

Will Abi take her frenemy’s advice, or is Carl set to escape with the title of luckiest man on the cobbles?

Can't wait for the next twist?

Usually a New Year’s Eve soap proposal would have us jumping for joy – or at the very least breathing out a little ‘Aww’.

However, we fully expect to hear viewers up and down the country screaming at their TV screens when Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) gets down on one knee and asks abuser Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) to marry him.

Theo has stepped up his aggression, manipulation and control over the course of their relationship, making it harder and harder for Todd to escape him.

Will Theo accept Todd’s hand in marriage, further trapping Todd in their abusive relationship? Or will Todd find the courage to rescind his offer?

Lisa Swain makes it very clear that she is not having a happy New Year, as she continues pining for Carla – who may or may not still be in the cupboard.

The average rollercoaster ride is approximately two minutes, (yes, I looked that up) and by the end of this spoiler video you’ll feel like you’ve just jumped off a major thrill ride at your favourite theme park.

From Roy Cropper (David Neilson) acting as Swarla’s biggest cheerleader, to Lisa confessing her undying love before deciding that it’s time to let her soulmate go, there are enough ups and downs within this two and a half minute clip to satisfy even the most hardcore rollercoaster junkie.

Let’s just hope that Lisa isn’t starting off the year as she means to go on…

Away from all the kidnapping, infidelity and revenge, Debbie Webster finishes off the week by putting on a show for her friends, relatives, acquaintances and seat fillers.

Debbie is no stranger to the spotlight, so it is only right that she takes centre stage at her wedding, singing lead vocals with the dementia choir as her back up as she walks down the aisle.

It would be wise to make the most of the frivolities of Debbie’s wedding while you can, as it is the last glimpse of the cobbles we will get before Corriedale hits our screens, and the explosive episode changes lives forever…
