Islamabad, Pakistan – The 22nd meeting of the Oman-Pakistan Joint Programme Group convened on Wednesday at the Joint Staff Headquarters in Islamabad, marking a significant step in bilateral defence relations.
Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of Royal Navy of Oman, led the Omani delegation in discussions with Major General Imran Khan Babar, General Officer Commanding, focusing on enhancing military collaboration and shared interests. Parallel to the high-level talks, a pivotal MoU was signed between the Maritime Security Centre of Oman and Pakistan’s Joint Maritime Information and Coordination Centre.

This agreement, formalised by Rear Admiral al Rahbi and Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan, establishes a robust framework for exchanging information regarding commercial vessels and sharing technical expertise to bolster regional maritime security.
