EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (December 24) episode which is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
After months of speculation, EastEnders has seemingly confirmed who is stalking Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).
Zoe, as viewers know, returned to Walford in September two decades on since her last appearance, which set the stage for the mother of all reunions with estranged mum Kat (Jessie Wallace).
As longtime EastEnders fans will know, Kat wanted nothing more than to reunite and make peace with daughter Zoe, who was raised as her sister until an explosive showdown in 2001 revealed the truth.
But Zoe’s comeback proved to be anything but peaceful, with the much-loved Square favourite at the centre of scandal, chaos and conflict.
From clashing with Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig), who still hasn’t forgiven her for her role in dad Den Watts’ (Leslie Grantham) demise, to her affair with Max Branning (Jake Wood), which essentially ripped the Slaters apart, it’s safe to say that Zoe has been at the centre of all the drama.
But horror soon followed for heartbroken Zoe, who is on a mission to find her son, with a sinister stalker making her life a living hell as she grew terrified of what they might do next.
The tormentor has sent threatening letters, made things go bump in the night and left unsettling warnings, making it clear that they mean business.
The storyline had led to numerous big reveals, with newcomer Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) being confirmed as Zoe’s daughter, who was thought to have died shortly after birth two decades prior.

What’s more, Jasmine’s father is Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey), who is livid with Zoe in the wake of finding out that he had two kids he didn’t know about.
His actions have made him a suspect in the case of who is stalking Zoe, and the Christmas Eve offering of EastEnders – which you can now stream on BBC iPlayer – has finally shed some light on the identity of the culprit.
Metro has chosen not to reveal the outcome of the story so as not to ruin it for viewers, but there’s a pretty gobsmacking twist in the tale so head over to iPlayer to finally get answers or watch the action unfold on TV tonight.

Christmas Day, which is always famously a big deal for EastEnders, will see the fallout of tonight’s twist as Zoe enjoys a special festive season with her family at The Vic, happy to be reunited with the Slaters after decades apart.
But in typical Walford fashion it’s not long before things begin to go wrong, which will undoubtedly make it a Christmas to remember for a long time to come.
