Muscat – Royal Oman Police (ROP), in close coordination with competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has successfully dismantled an international criminal syndicate involved in the trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The joint security operation led to the seizure of more than 200 kg of illicit narcotics found in the possession of the gang members. This decisive intervention reflects the robust strategic cooperation between Oman and Saudi Arabia in combating cross-border crime and safeguarding regional stability. The ROP confirmed that the suspects have been arrested and that all necessary legal procedures are being finalised in collaboration with the relevant judicial bodies to ensure a comprehensive prosecution of the international network.
