Vicky Pattison has showed off a massive new sparkler to replace her engagement ring that was stolen just weeks before her wedding.
The former Geordie Shore star, 38, tied the knot with husband Ercan Ramadan, 32, at London’s Marylebone Town Hall in August, which was followed by a party in Puglia, Italy, a few months later.
However just a few weeks before their wedding, Vicky’s engagement ring – which was estimated to have cost around £200,000 – was stolen.
At the time the ring was inside a bag that was snatched off a train she was travelling on from her native Newcastle.
The loss left her ‘absolutely distraught’ and ‘inconsolable’.
But a few months on, Vicky’s now showed off a dazzling replacement.
‘Christmas came early in our house…’ she posted on Instagram alongside a photo showing a new ring on her finger and another kissing her husband’s cheek.
‘It’s been a mad old year, and I couldn’t have got through it without my incredible husband and having him by my side through the highs and the lows has made everything just that little bit better! Tonight, at home, in our pjs with the dogs we had a cute little surprise date night and @ercan_ram gave me the most beautiful new engagement ring and wedding ring.
‘As some of you may know mine got stolen just before our wedding and this gesture has absolutely made my year! And he got it in a new colour way too! It’s so perfect! I love you so much Ercan and I would choose you in this life, and the next.’
She concluded the post by thanking Leonné Jewellery for ‘the most beautiful pieces of jewellery I’ve ever owned’ ‘I have no idea how I got this lucky,’ she added.
Many of Vicky’s friends expressed their excitement, commenting supportive messages on her post.
‘Love love LOVE YOU TWO,’ Angela Scanlon wrote.
‘Ahhh, how beautiful. Happy Christmas you two,’ Ruth Langsford shared.
‘He is definitely a keeper!’ Paul Longley added.
Vicky and Ercan met in 2019 after being introduced by mutual friends and got engaged in Dubai in 2022.
While Vicky is six years older than her husband, she recently spoke about how it was initially assumed he was a lot older than he actually is.
In a podcast episode of Get A Grip, which she hosts alongside Angela, Vicky explained why she’d never chosen to correct incorrect reports about her husband’s age.
‘The press got a hold of us dating, obviously, and in their head, it was just so f**king alien that a 31-year-old woman would go out with a 25-year-old man.’
‘What?’, Angela exclaimed.
Vicky went on: ‘So they were like: “He mustn’t be 25, he must be 35, right?”. I’ve never f**king told them they’ve got it wrong. So now, they think he’s 42.’
As the pair broke out into laughter, Vicky shared: ‘He is fuming, they’ll be like “Vicky Pattison who married her long-term fiancé Ercan Ramadan, 42, in a ceremony in Puglia”.’
The couple officially tied the knot at in London in August, with their second wedding ceremony held in Puglia and broadcast in a Channel 4 documentary called Vicky Pattison: My Big Fat Geordie Wedding.
Vicky went on in the podcast: ‘He’s like: “Will you just f***ing tell them?” And I’m like: “Nah”‘.
Commenting on a clip of the discussion shared on Instagram, Ercan later quipped: ‘Taking liberties now. Tell them my real age god dammit hahaha’.
