Shock confrontations. Baby daddy drama. Secret weddings. Mulled wine and Dingles shouting. Emmerdale’s got the lot and much, much more this festive season, but you don’t need to wait until Christmas Day to unwrap this present – a sneak peak of all the action from Yorkshire’s most dramatic village.
Three juicy spoiler clips from upcoming scenes detail what’s going down in the Dales, including Ross Barton (Michael Parr) confronting Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) over their plans to be part of Baby Seb’s life, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) and Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) struggling to keep their clandestine nuptials under wraps, and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) failing to get Charity (Emma Atkins) into the Christmas spirit.
After a stressful few months trying to get his unhinged prison husband Kev Towsend (Christopher Coghill) out of their lives for good, Robert Sugden has made the decision with Aaron to reach out to his infant son Seb – the product of his fling with the late Rebecca White (Emily Head).
However, Ross Barton was Rebecca’s ex boyfriend, and the closest thing little Seb ever had to a dad. Making the decision to give up that child was the hardest thing he ever did. He’s not going to take kindly to Robert and Aaron bringing Seb back to the village without his say-so…
Meanwhile, Jacob and Sarah continue to keep their wedding a secret by disguising it as a gender reveal party. This was Jacob’s bright idea, to make sure their special day was low-key and to stop their families meddling.
Unfortunately, they’re living in the world’s worst village to keep a secret, and the loved up pair struggle risk letting the cat out of the bag thanks to a close call with Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Kerry (Laura Norton).
Finally, Chas Dingle is full of the joys of the season. But Charity’s the one who’s been forced to run her cousin’s mulled wine stall, and she’s not feeling particularly festive. Probably because been keeping a whopper of a secret for months – that the surrogate baby she’s carrying for Sarah and Jacob is in all likelihood, the result of a one-night-stand with Ross.

At their flat, Robert’s feeling vulnerable after getting no reply from Rebecca’s Aunty Angela about having access to Seb. Aaron tries to put his mind at ease… until the doorbell rings.
It’s Ross – and he is far from happy. It turns out that Angela told him that Robert’s been asking for access to Seb. Furious, he demands to know what Rob and Aaron is playing at.
How will Robron get out of this one?

Jacob gets the best Christmas present ever when he’s wowed by the sight of Sarah in her wedding dress. Whilst Sarah worries that disguising the wedding as a gender reveal party will result in a smaller turn-out, Jacob doesn’t care as long as Charity and Cain are there.
As the besotted bride and groom to be lean in for a festive smooch, they’re interrupted by the arrival of Pollard and Kerry…. And Jacob barely has time to cover up Sarah’s bridal gown with a dressing gown!
Kerry picks up on the awkward tension and tells Pollard that they better leave them to it.
But as Jacob and Sarah breathe a sigh of relief, we’re left wondering – have they just been rumbled?
Christmas Day
It’s Christmas day, and Chas is doing her best to recreate Scrooge’s famous scene from A Christmas Carrol by throwing open the upstairs windows of the Woolpack and wishing Emmerdale a merry Christmas.
But it’s not so merry for Charity, who’s been lumbered with the task of running her cousin’s mulled wine stall. In true Dingle fashion, she orders her cousin to get her backside downstairs and help.
