Dubai International Airport (DXB) has warned passengers of flight delays and cancellations due to adverse weather conditions on Friday. The airport also reported water accumulation on some roads and asked travellers to allow extra time to reach the airport or use public transport.In a post shared on X, DXB said the weather situation could disrupt airport access and flight schedules. Meteorological reports point to scattered rain, lightning and gusty winds in several emirates that may continue over the next few days.IndiGo, also cautioned travellers on Thursday about potential flight disturbances on its UAE routes because of the same weather system. In its advisory shared on social media, the carrier said it is striving to keep schedules but warned that “adjustments, including possible cancellations, may be required if conditions evolve.” The airline asked passengers to “please keep a tab on your flight status” and said updates would be sent in real time.
