Can you believe it’s only a matter of days until Christmas? Unless you’re that super-organised person who bought their presents in the January sales and stuck the tree up in November, you’ll probably still have a lot to do ahead of the big day. For many of us, that also includes planning our viewing schedule – and whether you’re in the mood for a festive show or a blockbuster returning favourite, Netflix has got you covered. Recent weeks have seen Stranger Things fair dominate the charts, with all the previous series returning to the rankings in the wake of series five’s arrival. But with competition from Sean Combs: The Reckoning and Rowan Atkinson following up Man Vs Bee with Man Vs Baby, can it manage another week at number one in Netflix’s global most-watched shows top 10? Read on to find out which shows have been jingling everybody’s festive bells… (Picture: Netflix)

10. Stranger Things: Season 2 – 4,700,000 views

Stranger Things Season 2
It’s official. This week’s top 10 is still strange. Very, in fact. We kick things off with the second season of the cultural behemoth that is Stranger Things. Season two picks up in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1984 – one year after the events around the disappearance of Will Byers – as the town once again comes under threat from the Upside Down. Scary stuff as ever, and as far as the charts go that’s just the tip of the Stranger Things iceberg. (Picture: Netflix)

Aka the series where it all began. Stranger Things season 1 transports us back to 1983, in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, where a young boy named Will Byers disappears. As his family and friends frantically search for him, they discover a secret underground lab connected to a dangerous alternate dimension called the Upside Down. On their hunt for Will, they come across a powerful, telekinetic girl named Eleven, who becomes part of their family. (Picture: Netflix/THA/Shutterstock)

8. Stranger Things: Season 4 – 4,800,000 views

What’s that you say? Stranger Things again? Oh yes indeed, and this time it’s the turn of the fourth season. This one takes place in 1986, eight months after the events of season three, and takes the action to California and the Soviet Union. But, of course, the Upside Down rears its head back in Hawkins as the town is plagued by a string of mysterious teenage murders. Expect thrills, suspense and a healthy dose of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill – which finally reached number one in the charts as a result of its appearance here. (Picture: Tina Rowden/Netflix)

7. Stranger Things: Season 3 – 4,800,000 views

Stranger Things
We’re beginning to sense a theme developing here – but yep, it’s Stranger Things once again, season 3 this time (to be fair there’s not a lot of potential series left by this point). This time we’re off to 1985, with the action revolving around Hawkins, Indiana’s shiny new Starcourt Mall. Except it’s not long before the Upside Down, along with one of its creatures, the Mind Flayer, come calling. (Picture: Courtesy of Netflix)

6. Record Of Ragnarok: Season 3 – 5,300,000 views

Record Of Ragnarok: Season 3
Finally moving away from Stranger Things, we come to the first of this week’s new entries, and it’s the latest season of this popular Japanese manga series. Record of Ragnarok centres on a fighting tournament which features prominent historical figures going head to head with gods from various mythologies with the future of mankind at stake. 5. The Price Of Confession – 5,700,000 views

2025 has been a stellar year for Korean productions on Netflix and now here’s another one to round off the year. The Price Of Confession is a tense thriller about an art teacher whose husband is murdered, leaving her as the prime suspect. Things get really twisty when a mysterious stranger offers her a way out – except to prove her innocence, she’ll have to commit murder. (Picture: YOOYOOJAJEOG/Netflix)

4. The Abandons: Season 1 – 7,600,000 views

This Western series, which stars Game Of Thrones stalwart Lena Headey, is hanging in there for another week in the top five. Set in the 1850s, it chronicles the conflicts of outlaw groups during the Old West. With fights for land by unscrupulous means to dealing with the loss of family members, you can expect plenty of conflict and drama. (Picture: Netflix)

3. Stranger Things: Season 5 – 11,200,000 views

David Harbour as Jim Hopper and Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven in Stranger Things
It might be one of the biggest Netflix shows of 2025, but Stranger Things season 5’s reign at the top of the charts is over (for now, at least). The fifth and final series sees Eleven in hiding again due to military forces trying to hunt her down, while Holly Wheeler is Vecna/Henry’s latest victim. To tell you more would be to give too much away but the show’s returned to triumphant reviews, with Metro calling it a ‘masterpiece’. With the next batch of episodes due to drop on Christmas Day before the final ever instalment arrives on January 1, 2026, we suspect it’ll be only a matter of time before this one regains the number one spot. 2. Sean Combs: The Reckoning – 17,900,000 views

Sean Combs: The Reckoning Diddy. Puff Daddy. Love. The public knows the hip-hop icon by many names ? but who is the real Sean Combs? In a new four-part documentary by Emmy and Grammy Award?winning executive producer Curtis ?50 Cent? Jackson and Emmy Award-winning director Alexandria Stapleton, Sean Combs: The Reckoning is a staggering examination of the media mogul, music legend, and convicted offender. Born with an insatiable drive for stardom and a knack for spotting talent, Combs made a quick ascent through the ranks of the music industry with Bad Boy Entertainment and was crucial in bringing hip-hop to the pop masses and launching the careers of dozens of generation-defining artists like The Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, and Danity Kane. But along the way, and as detailed by his former associates, childhood friends, artists, and employees, something darker began to color his ambitions. Through explosive, never-before-seen materials, including exclusive interviews with those formerly in his orbit, this documentary tells the story of a powerful, enterprising man and the gilded empire he built ? and the underworld that lay just beneath its surface.
Holding steady at number two – and still racking up a huge number of viewers – Sean Combs: The Reckoning has become a major talking point for two reasons. The first is because it comes months after his high-profile court case, where he was handed a 50-month prison sentence. The second is because it was produced by 50 Cent, with whom Diddy has a decades-long beef. The documentary itself explores Combs’ rise to fame in the 90s, thanks to the success of his Bad Boy Entertainment label, and his downfall. (Picture: Netflix)

1. Man Vs Baby – 19,100,000 views

So here we are with the series that’s knocked Stranger Things off its perch – and it’s a fun bit of festive fluff, courtesy of the people that brought you the 2022 slapstick romp Man vs Bee. Rowan Atkinson reprises the role of divorcee Trevor Bingley, who’s swapped housesitting for working as a school caretaker until he lands the job of looking after a luxurious London penthouse over the festive break. There’s just one slight issue – an abandoned baby who’s fallen into his care after being left behind at the school nativity. You can see exactly where this is going but as post-Christmas lunch viewing with a lapful of mince pies goes, this more than hits the spot. (Picture: Netflix)
