Emmerdale has confirmed the return of a villain who caused major drama for Robron this year.
In the lead up to Christmas, Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) are looking forward to their future together. So much so, they even decide to look at getting Robert’s son Seb back to the village.
This causes problems for Ross Barton (Michael Parr), who was like a father to Seb when he was with Rebecca.
Rebecca died while Ross was away from the village, and he decide to let Rebecca’s relative take Seb in.
Seeing Seb in the village every day would be a painful reminder of everything he’s lost, and battle lines are soon drawn between Ross and Aaron.
Sure enough, Aaron returns home to find his car windscreen smashed and immediately points the finger of suspicion at Ross. Didn’t anybody warn him? Never give a Dingle reason for revenge…
However, it soon becomes clear that Ross didn’t smash the windscreen. So who did?
It appears this trailer has confirmed the culprit.
In the clip, Robert is seen reflecting on how his prison husband Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) is now firmly in his past.
But just as the couple begin to believe that the drama has been dealt with, Robert and Aaron discover the trees outside the flat have been set on fire.
In a dark twist, Robert is then seen opening some post and inside, is a bullet.
A dark figure lurks in the bushes and seconds later, we see Kev.
The complicated character left the village last month after a showdown with Robert, Aaron and Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
Kev had just discovered Robert and Aaron were back together, and held them hostage in the flat with a sword.
When it was confirmed the police were in Emmerdale for another reason, Liam told Kev to flee and start a new life elsewhere, to prevent going back inside again.
Judging by the way Kev looks, he’s not done a very good job at getting back on his feet after the chaos with Robron. But what exactly does he have planned?
Kev is unhinged and dangerous, but is he capable of murdering someone in revenge? Or will he continue tormenting Aaron and Robert until he is caught?
Interestingly, another villain connected to Robert and Aaron is returning to soapland soon.
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth).
Can’t wait for the next twist?

We now have confirmation that John, the crazed medic with a hero complex, will definitely feature in Corriedale, the Coronation Street and Emmerdale crossover episode in January.
If Aaron and Robert deal with Kev, can they handle facing John soon after?
Corriedale, will be an hour-long spectacular, airing at 8pm on January 5 with no early release on ITVX, while half hour episodes of both Emmerdale and Corrie will be shown at 7pm and then 7:30pm – though these episodes will be available earlier in the day on the streamer.
