It’s worth taking a few minutes at least to pause and consider all of what’s playing out on different levels of reality.. As for me, we’ve lost the capacity for that on a wider cultural scale.. Which is, of course, symptomatic of the dumbing down that’s been systematically employed for many generations.. Domineering colonial forces done their worst to make sure that wisdom keepers and seers were destroyed.. The ones who were genuinely capable of guiding people back to the Infinite Intelligence and Benevolent Creative Power which is within each and every one of us..
Humans, for so long have been conditioned to project their sovereign power onto phony external authority figures.. Whether they be religious, political or scientific.. Or in more recent times celebrities… And of course our parents/caregivers and teachers at school… The software of our mind is programmed beyond our infantile control by each and every one
We’re so far into that as a species we have become truly lost to our true magnificence.. But deep down we know.. In every moment there is a pulse from our Deepest Self.. Attempting to pierce through the dense layers of conditioning which have buried the Self.. The good news is.. The Deep Self can never die and it can never be corrupted.. Finding the way back is difficult though as we must move through the complexity which is the hall of distorted mirrors in the mind and confront all of the false constructs we’ve been led to identify with.. We must redefine mental/emotional breakdowns as “breakthroughs.”
It seems easier for most folk to continue with what’s familar, even when that keeps us in suffering and intensifies the suffering.. And for that we need an external authority figure to project our gold onto.. Someone to project our faith and our hope onto..
The media machine makes sure that people are hypnotised into believing that this politician or billionaire is going to save the world and ease your suffering and give you everything you need to be happy.. Even for folk who have begun to see through the media programming due to its incredibly crass nature now, there exists a nihilistic confusion, due to having been conditioned within a culture on such a deep unconscious level, to believe that “I need someone to make me whole.. Someone who is powerful.. More powerful than me… Someone who seems to have life sorted.. etc” Once we see through that illusion then where do we go.. It can be difficult to move through the phase of ‘no man’s land’ with enthusiasm and curiosity of adventure.
For me.. That’s the gift of our current state and i perceive that Life is manifesting such chaos and absurdity within the institutions of authority which have held power for so long over the masses, to the point where it’s absolutely clear that not one ounce of faith or hope can be projected onto any of them..
In amidst that.. It’s so important that we gain clarity that we are being asked to embark on what Joseph Campbell called the “Hero’s Journey.”
There are many wise mentors and guides amongst us who aren’t perfect for sure, but they have the awareness and humility to acknowledge that… Still.. They’ve been following The Way for a long time and can help us to clarify vision and make sense out of the worldly chaos.
We need them now.. We need to be sitting in circle again, with our peers and be engaging in the spiritual practises of remembering.. Of tending our grief.. Dissolving our delusions.. Connecting deeply on a somatic level with Nature as our wisest ancestors did, many generations ago.
The political system is a massive sinking ship and it’s understandable that we are enraged, confused and in a state of panic.. Keep remembering to come back.. To feeling what you’re feeling.. Mastering the breath.. Come to the knowing that on one level the big ship going down is a massive catastrophe, but amidst it all there’s an invitation to evolve and begin again.. Just make sure you recognise the Life boats and get on one of them as soon as you can.. Stop fighting and wrestling with the lost cause of keeping the ship afloat.. It’s going down.
