Following the murder of Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) in Emmerdale, the prime suspect is still Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson).

Ray’s body was discovered in the back of a depot van at the start of this week. Due to the fact DS Walsh quickly learnt that Jai was driving the van while Ray’s body was inside of it, he had to sit down for questioning.

Jai tried to tell Walsh and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) that he isn’t a murderer, but neither of them were completely convinced. As Laurel Thomas’ (Charlotte Bellamy) ex-husband, Jai killing her new lover Ray in a state of jealous rage was a possibility.

In tonight’s episode, Jai remained annoyed at his fellow residents, as it seemed most of them believed the theory that he killed Ray.

In the pub, he tried to turn attention to Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) and April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) but adults around them leapt to their defence, pointing out that both Dylan and April are victims of horrific ordeals.

Up Next

As night fell, Jai stood outside the pub and waited as slowly, all of the suspects in Ray’s investigation circled around him.

He told them all that he will clear his name and get answers soon, and each individual person all looked as though they had reason to feel a little bit worried.

Flashback clips that played after allowed us to see Laurel, Ross Barton (Michael Parr), Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) all acting strangely in the days leading up to Ray’s murder. Next week, we will learn more about what happened before Ray died, and the secrets each of these people are hiding.

After the episode that sees Laurel learn the truth about Ray, Rhona is put in the spotlight.

In the instalment, she sits at home alone despair over April’s disappearance. Suddenly, a shadowy figure looms behind her! Is it Ray?

Or is it Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough), Rhona’s recently resurrected old boyfriend fresh from the Corriedale spin-off to pay his old flame a visit. We don’t know which is more terrifying!

There will also be a focus on Marlon, and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) as well, the local vet who has spent months unaware his father has been working as a slave for Ray and Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).

But which Emmerdale resident was ultimately responsible for killing Ray?
