Marco Silva is hopeful over Harry Wilson’s injury ahead of Fulham’s Premier League match against West Ham on Saturday.

Wilson injured his left knee during his attempt to tackle Forest defender Neco Williams in the second half of Fulham’s 1-0 win against Nottingham Forest on Monday night.

The winger required treatment from Fulham’s medical team and was able to continue for a few minutes before he was replaced by Adama Traore with six minutes of the game remaining.

Speaking ahead of Fulham’s trip to West Ham this weekend, Fulham manager Silva insists Wilson remains in contention to feature in the match.

‘It was a big knock on the knee and it was painful,’ Silva said.

‘We are still assessing him and we will make a decision after the next session. I’m hopeful he can be available again because he’s been crucial for us and is full of confidence.

‘We have an idea and a plan. We know the profile of our players, who recover quicker, who need a bit more time, and we have the data to support those decisions.

‘But many things can change after each game. Knocks, recovery, availability, you have to adapt. The most important thing now is West Ham, because it’s the next one.’
