Dro Fernandez’s decision to leave Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain has generated plenty of debate and strong feelings in Catalunya.

Hansi Flick has seemed pretty angry about the whole incident and is believed to consider it “the biggest disappointment” of his career.

Meanwhile, club president Joan Laporta has described Dro’s exit as an “unpleasant situation,” while the teenager is said to have been left “hurt and angry” after being left out of the Copa del Rey tie against Guadalajara.

Diario Sport are now reporting that Gavi was left furious by Dro’s decision to move on. The midfielder is said to believe Barcelona should have done more to keep Fernandez at the club.

The report claims there was even a “tense moment” when Gavi made his feelings clear to the coaching staff, with his argument being “that if his minutes had been managed better and [Barca had] given him some more opportunities, surely the boy would have stayed.”

Fernandez was part of Barcelona’s pre-season tour but has only made five appearances this season for the first team due to the intense competition for places in Flick’s squad.
