A man presumed dead for 28 years returned to his hometown in Muzaffarnagar to collect documents for West Bengal's electoral roll revision. Sharif Ahmed, who had moved to West Bengal after remarrying in 1997, reappeared to gather his father's death certificate and a domicile certificate. His return brought overwhelming emotion and disbelief to his relatives and locals.
