The FBI received a tip-off about hidden ‘evidence’ of ‘pedophilia organised by Jeffrey Epstein for Prince Andrew’, the Epstein Files show.
The tipster claimed there were ‘tapes in a secret compartment’ in the financier’s home in the Bahamas.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation received the information from an IP address in Finland in August 2020.
The note was revealed in the latest wave of Epstein File releases in the US.

Labelled ‘Federal Bureau of Investigation Official Record’, the note reads: ‘Pedophilia organized by JE for Prince Andrew.
‘For evidence: look for keys stored in the drawing room. There are tapes in a secret compartment of a drawer next to a Michelangelo picture of a flower vase at his house in the Bahamas.’
The note continues: ‘Look also for other things in the kitchen. There is also
another studio apartment in the Bahamas and in Ipanema, Brazil, and
Florianopolis, Brazil.’
On the FBI tip-off form, the informant claims the crime involving ‘Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of the UK’ had been going on for 15 years.
It is not known if the FBI followed up on the claim or if there was any substance to it.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has always strongly denied any wrongdoing in relation to his relationship with Epstein.
Hundreds of thousands of files relating to Jeffrey Epstein have been released by the US Department of Justice in the last two weeks.
One email, from ‘Balmoral’ and signed ‘A xxx’, asked sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell if she had ‘found me some new inappropriate friends’ to have ‘fun’ with.
The August 2001 message, from ‘The Invisible Man’ and with the email address ‘[email protected]’, tells Maxwell: ‘I am up here at Balmoral Summer Camp for the Royal Family.’
He continues: ‘How’s LA? Have you found me some new inappropriate friends?
‘Let me know when you are coming over as I am free from 25th August until 2nd Sept and want to go somewhere hot and sunny with some fun people before having to put my nose firmly to the grindstone for the Fall.’
Sky News says they have come to the conclusion that they believe ‘A’ to be Andrew.
The context of this exchange is unclear and there is no suggestion of any wrongdoing.
One photo released in the Epstein files also showed the former Prince lying across the laps of five women.
The undated image, a photograph of a picture in a broken frame, also features Jeffrey Epstein’s former partner Ghislaine Maxwell grinning in the background.
Andrew stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after his disastrous Newsnight interview about his links to the paedophile financier.
But the publication of Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir, and the US government’s release of new documents from Epstein’s estate, brought more scrutiny on the relationship.
It led to the King officially stripping his disgraced brother of both his HRH style and his prince title.
